Can we talk about that 4pm feeling? When you suddenly realize it's almost dinner time and you have absolutely no idea what you're making and it's exactly why I put together this July meal plan for families — 30 days of easy, no-repeat dinners so that 4pm panic never has to happen again this month.

This July plan is a little different from anything I make on my own, though. I reached out to some of my favourite food bloggers and asked them to share one of their best recipes for the month and the result is genuinely one of my favourite meal plans yet. Thirty days, thirty different cooks, thirty completely different dinners. No repeats, no boring weeknights, and absolutely no 4pm panic.
If you’re looking for even more easy meal inspiration, be sure to explore my previous month June meal plan for families, easy chicken recipes collection, dinner recipes, and air fryer recipes for quick and family-friendly meals you can enjoy all month long. You'll find everything from quick 20-minute weeknight saves to slightly more special weekend dinners, plenty of summer-friendly meals that won't heat up your kitchen, and a few new family favourites I think you're going to fall in love with. Print this one out, stick it on the fridge, and let July just... handle itself for a change.

How to Use This Meal Plan (July Meal Plan For Families)
This plan is built to be flexible, not rigid — life happens, and dinner plans should bend with it.
Print it out. Stick the calendar graphic above on your fridge or save it to your phone's photo album for quick reference while you're grocery shopping.
Shop in batches. I'd recommend doing one big grocery trip for the first week, then a smaller top-up trip for fresh produce and proteins as the month goes on.
Swap days around freely. If Tuesday's recipe needs an ingredient you don't have and Thursday's is sitting right there in your fridge already, swap them. The order doesn't matter — having 30 ready-to-go dinners does.
Leftover days are okay too. If a recipe makes extra and you want to stretch it into a second night, just shift everything else down by a day. This plan should serve you, not stress you out.

Tips for Making the Most of This Meal Plan
Do a Sunday prep session. Even 30 minutes of chopping vegetables or marinating proteins ahead of time makes weeknight cooking dramatically faster.
Keep a running grocery list. As you look ahead a few days at a time, jot down what you'll need so shopping trips stay quick and efficient.
Double up when it makes sense. Several of these recipes (like the air fryer chicken drumsticks) freeze beautifully — consider doubling the batch on an easy night so you have a backup meal banked for a busier week.
Don't be afraid to simplify. Serve a recipe with whatever sides you have on hand rather than what's suggested — the goal is getting dinner on the table, not perfection.

What to Serve on the Side
A few of this month's dinners come with a serving suggestion built right in, but if you're looking for more side dish ideas to round out any night of this plan, here are some of my go-to options:
- For pasta and seafood nights: Sautéed Garlic Broccolini or Roasted Mini Peppers with Balsamic and Garlic — both come together in under 15 minutes.
- For chicken nights: Air Fryer Sweet Potato Wedges or Air Fryer Sweet Potato Cubes — cook them right alongside the main in the same air fryer.
- For something fresh and light: A simple Chicken Caesar Salad (minus the chicken) makes a great side salad on busy nights.
- For bread lovers: Cheese Naan Bread is perfect for scooping up any saucy main dish.
