Equipment

  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Whisk or Hand mixer
  • Spatula
  • Piping bag or ziploc

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream chilled
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese softened
  • cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 Oreo cookies crushed
  • Mini oreo cookies for garish (optional)

Instructions

  • Beat cold heavy cream to stiff peaks. Set aside in the fridge.
  • In another bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth and fluffy(about 1–2 minutes).
  • Gently fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture in 2–3 additions until no streaks remain.
  • Fold in crushed Oreos.
  • Spoon or pipe into cups. Top with extra Oreo crumbs and top with mini oreos for garnish.
  • Refrigerate 1–2 hours to set up and deepen flavor.

Notes

  • Use cold heavy cream: Very cold cream whips up faster and gives the mousse the best light, fluffy texture.
  • Soften the cream cheese first: Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened so it blends in smoothly without lumps.
  • Beat until smooth: Mix the cream cheese well before adding anything else for the creamiest mousse.
  • Fold gently: When adding the whipped cream, fold it in gently so the mousse stays airy and soft.
  • Chill before serving: Give the mousse enough time in the fridge so it sets properly and holds its shape.
  • Add garnish at the end: Top with Oreo crumbs or mini Oreos right before serving so they stay crisp.
