Servings 6 Oreo Mousse Cups
1 cup heavy whipping cream chilled 8 oz full-fat cream cheese softened ⅓ cup powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 12 Oreo cookies crushed Mini oreo cookies for garish (optional)
Beat cold heavy cream to stiff peaks. Set aside in the fridge.
In another bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth and fluffy(about 1–2 minutes).
Gently fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture in 2–3 additions until no streaks remain.
Fold in crushed Oreos.
Spoon or pipe into cups. Top with extra Oreo crumbs and top with mini oreos for garnish.
Refrigerate 1–2 hours to set up and deepen flavor.
Use cold heavy cream: Very cold cream whips up faster and gives the mousse the best light, fluffy texture.
Soften the cream cheese first: Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened so it blends in smoothly without lumps.
Beat until smooth: Mix the cream cheese well before adding anything else for the creamiest mousse.
Fold gently: When adding the whipped cream, fold it in gently so the mousse stays airy and soft.
Chill before serving: Give the mousse enough time in the fridge so it sets properly and holds its shape.
Add garnish at the end: Top with Oreo crumbs or mini Oreos right before serving so they stay crisp.
