Ingredients
  

  • 3 medium sweet potatoes skin peeled and cut into ½-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Chopped parsley to garnish
  • Lemon wedges to serve

Instructions
 

  • Before you start, preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes. Line the airfryer basket with a liner if you are using it. Set it aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the sweet potato cubes. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle in the cumin, paprika, oregano, garlic powder, and salt. Toss everything together until all the pieces are evenly coated with the seasoning.
  • Spread the seasoned sweet potato cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding, so cook in batches to make sure they crisp up properly rather than steaming.
  • Set the air fryer to 380°F (190°C) and cook for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The sweet potatoes should turn golden brown and crispy on the outside while staying soft and tender inside.
  • Once done, transfer the sweet potato cubes to a serving dish. Serve warm and garnish with fresh parsley for color or a squeeze of lemon juice for a fresh, zesty kick. Pair them with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them as a side with any meal!

Notes

  1. The most important point to remember is don’t overcrowd the basket. If the sweet potato cubes are too close together, they’ll steam instead of crisping. So I recommend cooking in batches if necessary for the best results.
  2. Tossing the air fryer basket at the 8-9 minute mark helps for even cooking and prevents burning.
  3. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes to bring back crispiness.
